Lakeside Western Days Parade!

Today was the Lakeside Western Days Parade. We joined in on the fun and participated in Jarrett's school float. It was a great time and nice to be a little "light" in the community. The younger children enjoyed singing "Jesus Loves Me" as the older kids told the crowd, "Jesus loves you." The children also blew bubbles the entire route of the parade, which was fun for the spectators! Daddy met us at the end of the route, and we enjoyed a nice lunch together. A great day.

Western Days!

This weekend is the 43rd Annual Lakeside Rodeo (Yeeha!), and Jarrett's school will have a float in the morning parade. The children were asked to wear their western wear to school today for a "contest" to see who gets to ride on the float. Since his teacher is the director, all the kindergartners get to ride! The second picture is in remembrance of Grandpa Pierce - he always had his cowboy hat on! :) When he died, Jarrett asked Papa if he could keep Great-Grandpa's hat...gone, but not forgotten.

Today we celebrated David's 36th birthday at one of his favorite hang-outs, Lake Jennings. While the fish were not hungry, we had a great time. It is such a blessing to have family so close!
